I don’t understand the lesson, what should I do?

Should I learn European Spanish or Latin American Spanish?
It's kind of like asking, "Should I learn British English or American English?” They are mutually intelligible. There are 21 countries in the world where Spanish is the official language. There are more than 500 million people in the world who speak Spanish. The European Spanish is spoken by less than 10% of the Spanish speakers in the world. This Spanish course has been recorded by an educated Peruvian. Peruvian accent is most often identified as a "neutral" accent.
